DC Comics

One of the 2 'Big 2' in the comics industry, DC once dominated the comic book movie scene in the late 1970s through the early 1990s with their Superman and Batman movies.  They were regarded as going into hibernation on that front while Marvel made serious inroads on the comic book movie front.  However, recently DC has had major success with their relaunches of their flagship characters Batman and Superman, with other movies set to eventually lead to a Justice League film.  DC characters have also had major success on the small screen with numerous and ever expanding television shows based on their material coming up in the past few years.
